Healthy lifestyle – fun and joy of life!admin199 | August 31, 2018 | 2 | LifeStyle
The change to a healthy lifestyle does not happen overnight. It’s a long process where you have to change old habits bit by bit. I have never thought of any crash diets where you can’t eat, suffer and in the end, everything or even more comes back to your hips anyway! Whatever your goal may be, whether it is to lose weight, define it or just health, the most important thing is to slowly but surely adapt your lifestyle to it!
This starts with small changes, such as replacing certain foods with the healthier alternative. At the same time, some exercise is added, depending on how much sport you already do, this varies of course, but even a walk is better than just sitting at home! Nobody’s forcing you to go to the gym. Go jogging, cycling, swimming or ball games with friends. What matters is that it’s something you have fun with!
And little by little you get into this lifestyle and once you’ve been through it for a few weeks, it automatically becomes a habit at some point. This is the only way to maintain a healthy diet and physical activity in the long term.
This was not a problem for me, as I already live a healthy lifestyle by nature. At home, we always cooked fresh food ourselves and I don’t mean warming up a ready-made meal in the microwave Sure, now you could say, home-cooked doesn’t mean healthy, but we have rather healthy dishes with lots of vegetables, rice, and poultry. This may also have something to do with my Turkish roots, as the Mediterranean cuisine is also very health-conscious (apart from the sweet baked goods, of course!)
Of course, we sometimes have lasagna or something similar, but as they say: “Enjoy in moderation, not in masses”. And since we do not eat pork, the minced meat from beef and poultry in our country is also lower in fat than with conventional lasagna (as an example). What I mean by this is that each of you has a different starting situation and you cannot say here in a unified way how you should change your diet and everything that goes with it.
You need to find a way for yourself to cope in the long run. And of course, this does not mean that you should do without any delicacies! As long as it stays in moderation this is absolutely no problem! This way you prevent hunger attacks and in addition, you want to live and have fun, don’t you?!
Besides, there are so many ways to cook and bake deliciously healthy, so you may not have any cravings after all the industrially processed snacks. Try it out for yourself in the kitchen, get recipes and inspiration on the Internet, like here on my blog, Instagram or other recipe forums. It’s usually much easier and faster than you might think and I’m telling you, there are so mega delicious healthy recipes that you’ll prefer chips and co.!
Similarly, on the subject of sport, I can only say that I have always practiced any sport: I was in cheerleading, danced and played basketball for several years until I started training in the gym about 1.5 years ago and discovered a real passion for it.
But it’s not what you’ve done, but what you’re doing now and what your goals are. Find out, think and understand what you want. Regardless of what everyone else is doing or expecting from you. Go out there, do your thing and don’t let anyone tell you can’t do anything. This is your life!
Unfortunately, this topic is far too comprehensive for me to write down here, but I hope I was able to give you a little insight into how you can start and what you should avoid.
